Lindy Hop originated as a Black American dance and is now celebrated all over the globe by people of all backgrounds. During a period in American history characterized by anguish, Lindy Hop took flight, providing a joyous escape from the social and political unrest of the time. In addition to promoting emotional and social wellbeing, Lindy Hop is a sure-fire way to improve your coordination and overall physical health. SSoSO’s mission is to revive the once vibrant Southern Oregon Lindy Hop scene, and bring those of all ages and backgrounds to the same place for the same purpose - to have fun and celebrate community.
